About Napa Valley
World-famous wine country, Napa Valley is a wonderful place to
live. An area of spectacular natural beauty, the climate
is moderate: average daytime temperature is 58°F. in winter,
82°F. in summer, and average annual rainfall is just under 24".
The area enjoys ocean breezes from the coast which keep the summer
nights cool--ideal conditions for wine grapes. Napa Valley
is known both for wines and tourism.
Napa Valley is approximately 70 miles northeast of San Francisco,
and is within commuting distance of the city, Sonoma County, Solano
County and the east Bay Area.
Total population of Napa County is estimated to be 123,300.
